On September 26, 1953, Bob was united in marriage to Evelyn Drewes in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He worked in the Engineering Department for M. A. Hanna Iron Mine for several years retiring in 1986.
Bob was a member of the American Legion, Eagles and officer in R.E.A.C., Itasca Vintage Car Club, which he helped start, Itasca County Historical Society and volunteered as a swimming instructor at the YMCA, all in Grand Rapids. He was also a member of the Order of Foresters and the M.A. Hanna Retirement Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Roberta (Rolin) Sinn; and four grandchildren.
Bob died at his home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He was cremated.
