    Bob lived for a short time in Cass Lake, Minnesota and Cooley, Minnesota.

    He grew up and attended schools in Nashwauk, Minnesota.

    Bob married Irene A. Phillips on November 10, 1946 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    They moved to their present home in Pengilly, Minnesota. He worked as a mechanic for M. A. Hanna Mining Company for 41 years, retiring in 1983.

    Bob was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Virginia, Minnesota and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of Pengilly, Minnesota. Since 1985, he and Irene have been winter residents at Alamo, Texas.

    Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mae Kimmes and Malinda Brown; an infant daughter, Rebekka Fisher; a grandson, Michael Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.

    He is survived by his wife, Irene; four sons, Gerald, James, Bruce, and Walter "Skip"; two sisters, Olive (Bill) Hall and Georgia (Tom) Calivas; three brothers, Wilber, Ernest, and Fred; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Bob died at his home in Pengilly, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-F-40-0-2)
