Bob served in the United States Army Reserves at Camp Ripley in Little Falls, Minnesota.

Since 1947, Bob had lived in Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he graduated from high school.
He owned and operated Itasca Mobile Communications since 1958 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2469 and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 2023, both of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Bob is surived by his wife, Diane; a daughter, Karen (Kevin) Bissonette; a son, Kenneth (Lisa); step-sons, Timothy (Jackie) Hurd and Todd Hurd; two brothers, John and Dennis; a granddaughter, Anna Yurrick; and three grandsons, Spencer Yurrick, Chris Norby, and Kaleb Bissonett.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his first wife, Marjory (Campbell) Yurrick.
Bob died at Leisure Hills Health Care Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-C-15-24)
