He worked for Erie Mining Company and later transferred to Hibbing Taconite, where he retired in 1989.

He was a member of St. Mary's Parish.

Bob was a quiet man who loved being with his family. He also loved spending time on Mark and Cheryl's farm, and he enjoyed watching baseball, football and the races on television. Bob also enjoyed going to stock car races and his visits with good friend Dean Hakala.

You would see him making his daily trip to the Post Office in his blue Dickie work outfits or having coffee with friends complaining about politics or talking sports. He always looked forward to Keewatin's Fourth of July celebration and talked about the parade.

He is survived by his children, Michael, Cindy, and Cheryl (Mark); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister-in-law, Pauline; special cousins Betty and Donna Mae; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice; brother, Larry; and sister, Marilyn.

Bob died at his home and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Hibbing, Minnesota. No photo of grave marker is available at this time. (Block 6, Lot 277, Grave 1 W 1/2)
