    Robert was a mechanic for Trailmobile in St. Paul, Minnesota for several years. He had been a Grand Rapids, Minnesota resident for the past fifteen years and had tended bar at the Moose Club for six years.

    Robert was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Club and the Grand Rapids Moose Club, all of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    He is survived by two sons and a daughter, Bob, Nathan and Colene; his mother, Florence Young, stepmothers, Erna Asperheim and Audrey Young; four sisters, Mary Conners, Linda Johnson, Beverly Hujanen, and Julie Thomas; five brothers, Fred, Gene, Danny, Tim and Tom; two stepbrothers, Bill Martin and Scott Martin; and one granddaughter.

    Preceding him in death was his father, Charles, in 1990.
