    Newspaper article: Itasca Iron News, Coleraine, Minnesota – March 19, 1942 – “FORMER BOVEY BOY LISTED AS ‘LOST’ – Robert Drewett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Drewett of Duluth, who for a short time lived in Bovey when Mr. Drewett was agent at the D.M. & I.R. railway depot, is listed among the “lost in action”, according to a message received early this week by the parents. Drewett was 22, a Yeoman in the Navy, missing since the battle of Java.”

    Robert Drewett died in a Japanese prison camp in Osaka, Japan. His remains were temporarily held in the USAF Mausoleum in Manila, Philippines until they were transferred for permanent burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 24, 1948 (C-25, Site 14437).
