Robert was a retired Electronics Technician. He worked for microwave and electronics companies in the private sector.
Robert spoke five languages, fluently, and spent 20 years working in Europe prior to moving back to the United States.
Robert met his wife, Gisela Dudley, in Germany. That marriage was later dissolved.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Bock, her husband Bjorn; a granddaughter, and a brother Bruce (Teri).
Robert died at his home in Bovey, Minnesota and was cremated.
