Robert grew up and attended school in Duluth, Minnesota.
He worked at the CCC camp near Isabella, Minnesota for three years.
Following his discharge in 1944, he returned to the Duluth, Minnesota area. On May 4, 1946, he was united in marriage to Betty Trudeau at Duluth, Minnesota.
Robert worked for Minnesota Power and Light in Duluth, Minnesota for several years before being transferred to Minnesota Power and Light in Cohasset, Minnesota. He moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1958 and retired in 1977.
Robert was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Ponti-Peterson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1720 and the Eagles Club, all of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Linda Grinde and Nancy Milbradt; a son, Gary; a sister, Betty Wilson; a brother, Donald; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
