Robert was the director of utilities for the City of Robbinsdale, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annabell. Robert married Phyllis Twaddle and they moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughters, Diane Albertson and Judie Mueller; seven grandchildren; and stepchildren, Mike Twaddle, Dan Twaddle, and Geraldine Erickson.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Annabell; daughter, Roberta; and grandson, John Twaddle.

Robert died at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital following emergency surgery and is buried in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens at Crystal, Minnesota.
