Robert came from Illinois and was a longtime resident of Nashwauk, Minnesota.
He was employed as a custodian and a bus driver for Independent School District #319 in Nashwauk.
Robert was a member of American Legion Post #307 in Nashwauk. He enjoyed coin collecting, crosswords, horseshoes, and bowling in his younger years, and had a great interest in guns and was a locksmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stella in 1976; and his son, John, in 1998.
Robert is survived by his son, William (Mickey); three daughters, Mary (Loren) Levine, Julie (Dan) Wolf, and Gloria (Mike) Arlich; a sister, Dorothy Morgan; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; and special friend, Isabelle Lean.
Robert died at his home in Nashwauk, Minnesota and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Hibbing, Minnesota.
