Following his discharge from the Army in 1953, he was a logger in the Spring Lake area.
He moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1967.
Roger studied electronics and owned and operated Roger's TV Repair in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Roger moved to Deer River, Minnesota in 1977 where he continued to work in TV repair.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Dowling and Emily Chandler; two sons, Kevin and Francis; one granddaughter; three sisters, Shirley Shears, Mary Edminster, and Virginia Dowling; and two brothers, Dan and Ted.
Roger died at Leisure Hills in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Sand Lake Cemetery in Sand Lake Township, Itasca County, Minnesota.
