Roger grew up and attended school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He worked for the Blandin Paper Company in Grand Rapids and also worked in construction.
Roger was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both in Grand Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Everett in 2007.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Cathie (Ray) Jones; a son, Roger P. (Diana); a sister, Beverly (William) Baker; a brother, Joseph (Ruth); four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Roger died at Evergreen Terrace in Grand Rapids and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Section 26, Site 1321)
