    Roman married Florence Brausen at Winnipeg, Canada on December 18, 1947. The Sahr family came to Grand Rapids, Minnesota from Pierz, Minnesota 20 years ago and Roman had been employed by the Hanna Mining Company at Keewatin, Minnesota for the past 20 years, presently as a maintenance mechanic.

    Surviving relatives include his wife, Florence; six daughters, Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Virnig, Mrs. Michael (Judy) Greniger, Sandra, Arlene, Linda, and Joyce; four sons, James, David, Duane, and Robert; four sisters, Mrs. August (Margaret) Valentine, Mrs. Roy (Helen) Hershey, Mrs. Peter (Marie) Held and Mrs. Alex (Clara) Hoheisel; six brothers, Leo, Nicholas, Peter, August, Reinhard, and Arthur and six grandchildren.

    Roman died at Itasca Memorial Hospital and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 1.4.1.8)
