    Roy lived a short time in California before moving to he Splithand Lake area near Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1947. He worked for 40 years as a machinist for the M. A. Hanna Mining Company, retiring in 1982

    Roy worked as township supervisor of Splithand Township for five years and was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    Preceded in death by his brother, Allen, in 1991, surviving relatives include wife, Delores, daughter Lois Key; sisters Gladys Talbot and Glorian Lee; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Roy died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 1.15.2.2)
