Sydney grew up and lived most of his life in the Pengilly, Minnesota area.
He attended Nashwauk Schools in Nashwauk, Minnesota.
Sydney and Jewell Sletten were married March 31, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was a heavy equipment operator and maintenance mechanic for Hanna Mining and National Steel, retiring in 1996 with 31 1/2 years of service.
His parents, Thomas and Irene Faulkner, and sisters, Eleanor Pottach and Mabel LaDoux preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell; a son, Sydney (Deanne) Faulkner, Jr.; a daughter, Gail Faulkner; two granddaughters; six sisters, Ann Pickar, Gladys Leen, Lois (Ed) Mooradian, Nyline (Farrell) Scroggins, Viola Dye, and Charlotte (Robert) Hilden; and many nieces and nephews.
Sydney died in the Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
