    Terry was a member of the Minnesota National Guard, which was activated in 1951. He volunteered and was accepted into Ranger School.

    Terry's mother died in 1941 when he was nine and his brother was eleven. The two boys came to live in Grand Rapids, Minnesota with their grandmother, Catherine Guinan. His childhood years were spent in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and later on in California.

    Terry traveled a great deal during his lifetime, especially to Mexico which he visited many, many times. He loved its people and always tried to share with those less fortunate than himself. He had many talents, including carpentry, forestry, and was an instructor in scuba diving. He was a life-long bachelor. One of his greatest pastimes was handing our candy to the neighborhood children passing by his house.

    Terry lived in Bovey, Minnesota since 1980.

    Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis. He is survived by his aunt, Pat (Chuck) Rodinsky; first cousins, Elizabeth Shannon and Mary Ann Calligan Lund; and numerous other cousins.
