Ted was a retiree from the railroad and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ione; and two sisters, Mildred Pearson and Ione Morris.
Ted is survived by his recent wife and past high school friend, Leona J. Groth, whom he married in July, 1999; and her daughter, Anita Johnson. He is also survived by two sons, Bruce and Terry; one daughter, Renee Lane; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and Jerry; and two sisters, Jolene Bemis and June Grant.
Ted died at his home and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
