    Timo immigrated with his family to Thunder Bay, Ontario at age five and eight years later moved to Alango, Minnesota.

    He worked as a civil engineer at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

    Timo met his wife, Silja, while visiting in Finland in 1996. They were married January 10, 1997 and have lived near Grand Rapids, Minnesota in the home built by Timo's parents.

    Timo was a member of Grace Bible Chapel in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and loved singing in the Blandin Male Chorus.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Vieno; sister Marja Kangas; and brother Simo.

    He is survived by his wife, Silja; one son, Jeff; his father and stepmother, Lenni and Heleena Torma; two brothers, Pekka (Marilyn) and Tapani (Birgitta); two sisters, Vuokko (Voitto) Serala and Tuula (John) Kube; two stepsisters and a stepbrother, Margie (Lyle) Vandervort, Ellen (Jim) Lassila, and Ken (Kathy) Hill; and five grandchildren.

    Timo died in Cloquet, Minnesota and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.33.1.7)
