Truman Blakesley returned to the Warba, Minnesota area after service. He was visiting relatives in Iowa when he died as a result of a car accident. His body was returned to Itasca County, Minnesota and he is buried in the Warba-Feeley Cemetery, Warba, Minnesota (B,10,1,8).
The Warba American Legion Post #432 was formed on September 21, 1939 and is named for Truman Blakesley.
