    Truman was raised in Boy River, Minnesota.

    He was united in marriage in Irene Nyhous on June 6, 1941, and lived for a short time in Grand Rapids, Minnesota until 1946 when he moved to Hill City, Minnesota.

    He owned and operated the Hill City Garage, working as a mechanic for many years. He was a past member of the Hill City Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the American Legion Club, the Sportsman's Club and the Trinity Lutheran Church, all of Hill City, Minnesota.

    Truman was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmo and Earl Erickson.

    He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Linda Schindler and Doris Robak; two sons, Kenneth and Wayne; two sisters, Gladys Pew and Stella Nyhous; one brother, Olaf; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Truman died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Hill Lake Cemetery at Hill City, Minnesota.
