Valentine lived in Duluth, Minnesota and Warba, Minnesota for 63 years.
He married Hazel Arietta Pyle.
Valentine retired in 1960 as a foreman after 40 years with the former Zenith Furnace Division of Interlake Iron Corporation.
Valentine was a member of the Grand Rapids, Minnesota VFW Post 2504 and the Warba Presbyterian Church in Warba, Minnesota.
Survivors are his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Caroline Watters; a son, Ellsworth; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Valentine is buried in Oneota Cemetery at Duluth, Minnesota.
