    Upon Vernon's discharge from the service, he returned to this area where he worked as an auto body repairman for many years. He also worked as a welder for the Electric Power Door Company in Hibbing, Minnesota until his retirement.

    He was a member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Lawrence Lake American Legion, and the Bovey Moose Lodge, all of Bovey, Minnesota.

    Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; his parents; and his siblings, Irene Haatvedt, Mary Lou Marcella; Almeda Maki, Lloyd Danielson, Arvid Danielson, and Phyllis Larson.

    He is survived by his children; Steven Danielson, Tony Bailey, Melissa (Ricky) Thayer, Doug (Michelle) Bailey; Timothy (Charlene Copeland) and Vernon D. Danielson, Jr.; his sisters, Marjorie Whalen, Lois Ripsin, and Avis Merhar; and seven grandchildren.

    Vernon is buried in Ardenhurst-Alvwood Cemetery at Bergville, Minnesota. No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
