    Newspaper article: Bovey Press – March 20, 1942 – “Miss Veronica Morrissey, daughter of Mrs. Frank Morrissey of Marble, has left for Cheyenne, Wyo. Miss Morrissey, who is a registered nurse, has been commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserve corps and has enlisted for the duration of the war as a Red Cross nurse. Miss Morrissey is a graduate of Greenway High School and took her training at a St. Cloud hospital. She was employed at the Municipal hospital in Virginia and during the last year at a hospital in Detroit, Mich. She came home this winter to nurse her father during his last illness and has since been employed at the Itasca hospital in Grand Rapids.”

    Veronica Morrissey was married to Steven T. Bille. After the war she worked as a public health nurse in West New York and was a co-founder of Richardson Specialty Co., Teaneck, New Jersey.

    Veronica died in Lakewood, New Jersey, and is buried in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, New Jersey (Cemetery 6, Section 4, Grave 2). She is survived by her daughters, Michele Bazzini and Stephanie Donohue; her sister, Louise O’Brien; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband.
