Vincent Dean Garlough, age 79, of Cohasset, died April 12, 2006 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital, Grand Rapids Minnesota.
Vincent was born on June 16, 1926 in Calumet to Wallace Sr. and Leone Hauck Garlough. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Greenway High School in 1944 and then joined the U.S. Navy serving with the Sea Bees. Vincent later went to Itasca Community College and graduated in 1951 from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Bemidji State University. In 1961, he received his master’s degree from Bemidji State University. Vincent worked overseas for six years and taught school as a biology teacher at Los Angeles Unified School District from 1963 through 1988 at which time he retired. Vincent returned to the area in 1990.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, John Garlough. He is survived by two brothers, Wallace C. Jr. (Faye) and Gary (Joan), nieces and nephews.
No services were held per his wishes. Burial was in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-E-12-0-4)
