    Wally was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons, Tom, Michael, and Patrick; two daughters, Rebecca Means and LuAnn Winans; three sisters, Evelyn Aune, Alice Reeve, and Donna Backstrom; father-in-law, Enoch Saari; sixteen grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
