    Warren worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He served in the South Pacific, Philippine Islands during World War II. He proudly served the 49th General Hospital.

    Warren was a prisoner of war and an escaped prisoner of war during World War II.

  • Civilian Life:
    After his discharge from the service, Warren worked at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    He married Alvina B. Gullickson on January 28, 1951, in Deer River, Minnesota.

    Warren and Alvina had two children; Jerry and Dennis.

    Warren worked in the Calumet, Minnesota iron mine from 1952 to 1957, before moving with his family to St. Peter, Minnesota where he was employed at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center from 1958 until his retirement in 1984.

    After retirement, Warren volunteered for over 20 years at the St. Peter Food Shelf for which he received both local and state recognition on several occasions. He was also a regular at the Nicollet County Fair at the ticket gates.

    Warren was an avid stamp collector and card player, and enjoyed camping with family and friends. He also had many years of delight with his three grandchildren; and most recently, his four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Wanda.

    Preceding him in death are his brothers, Ted and Leland; and a sister, Juanita.

    Warren passed away at St. Peter, Minnesota and is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery at Deer River, Minnesota.
