Wendell was a life-long resident of Bigfork, Minnesota.
He was assistant cashier in the Bigfork State Bank for 17 years and a school bus driver for 21 years. He was the Bigfork village treasurer.
Wendell was treasurer of the Catholic Men's Club and Boy Scout Troop 33 and quartermaster of VFW post. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Bigfork Lions Club, Commercial Club and American Legion.
Wendell is survived by his wife, Florence (Gustafson) Evensen; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Pifher, Mrs. Hubert Haley, Jr. and Patricia; one son, Ronald; three brothers, Thomas, Hubert, and Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Donald Gustafson; and his mother, Mrs. Florence Evensen.
Wendell died in the Bigfork Hospital in Bigfork, Minnesota and is buried in the Bigfork Cemetery at Bigfork, Minnesota.
