William Norgord remained in California for a short time after his discharge from service. He then worked and lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Bill died in an auto accident in Chicago, Illinois and is buried in Trout Lake Community Cemetery, Bovey, Minnesota (Block 11, Lot 57). He is survived by two sisters, Helen (Bert) Meyer and Vera (Adolph) Arneson; and six brothers, John, Victor, Ted, Oscar, Iver and Henry.
