William came to Grand Rapids, Minnesota as a child. He had lived here since that time.
William worked for United States Steel until he retired in 1967.
He married Doris Jackson on June 8, 1944.
William was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, Robert and Randy; two daughters, Mrs. David (Sharon) Sharp and Mrs. Barbara Jordon; five grandchildren; one brother, Raymond; and four sisters, Mrs. Leander (Edith) Ische, Mrs. George (Eleanor) Mattfield, Mrs. Arthur (Leona) Mattfield, and Mrs. James (Jeanette) Anderson.
William died in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-06-3-1)
