William lived in New Lenox, Illinois for many years while he worked as a purchasing agency for Materials Service in the Chicago, Illinois area. After seventeen yeas in that position, he bought the Country Kitchen, an independent restaurant, which he operated for ten years. After the death of his wife, Dorothy, he later married Julie, Dorothy's sister, sold the restaurant and moved to Mankato, Minnesota. Several years later, they moved to Marcell, Minnesota, on the Gunn Lake chain.
William is survived by his wife, Julie; three sons, Bill, Jim, and Tim; three daughters, Jan, Julie, and Joyce; four stepsons, Tom, John, Frank, and Pete Perendy; a stepdaughter, Mandy Nesheim; three sisters, Joyce Martin, Loretta Hale and Karen Mazzola; three brothers, Robert, Eugene, and Rolland; and twenty grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Dorothy, his parents, Harriet and Edward Abraham; a brother, Edward, and a stepdaughter, Peggy Perendy.
William died of a heart attack and the body was creamated.
