    William worked as a cook in a veteran's hospital in Montana and returned to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1970. He was employed by the City of Grand Rapids Maintenance Department.

    Survivors are his wife, Rebecca; two sons, Larry Manes and Michael Furley, serving with the United States Air Force in England; a step-son, James R. Denson; six step-daughters, Ramona Snelson, Deloris Denson, Velta Thompson, Mattie Warren; Judy (Mrs. Michael W.) Furley, and Evelyne Castleberry; and twelve grandchildren.

    William died of an apparent heart attack as he was going to work. He is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-10-1-1)
