Woody lived on a farm until 1926 when he moved with his parents to Wirt, Minnesota.
He worked in two general merchandise stores in Alvwood Township in Itasca County, Minnesota until moving with his family to Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Woody married Carmen Waller in 1934.
In Grand Rapids, Minnesota, he began working in the Latz Clothing Store.
When he was discharged from the Navy, he began working in furniture stores in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, eventually retiring from Ralph's Furniture in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen; one son, Marlon; one daughter, Dixine Woyach; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Woody died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-D-06-2-4)
